Bleed

Lyrics

Bleed

You gave it all for me

You gave Your everything

If we could love others with an ounce of the love that You’ve shown me

We could change everything

We could change everything

God You’re the prize that’s so sweet

The only thing worth chasing

But the night comes and my love neglects You

And it hurts cause I just wanna reflect You

At my worst yeah my worth is held to

The fact that I met You, don’t let me forget You

And we both know that love hurts

I see it in the blood that You bled to break our curse

Now I put my love stories into verse

Just like you did with every Verse

God of the universe put my needs first

I know it’s not fair it’s not what I deserve

I didn’t give a single thing to Him yet He still served me

No I’m not worthy

The least I can do is serve you how He served me

So I swear I’ll love you even if you never earned it

It’s hard to be merciful but I swear that I’m learning

We bleed onto the floor

Dancing with knives in our hands

An impossible task made possible by the impossible God who has it all planned

Try not bleed out I know it feels lethal but we got the perfect guide in the man

Who gave His life on the cross for me and You, we just gotta love like Him

We just gotta love like Him

We just gotta love like Him

We better remember what He did

Woah

It’s never been about us, no

It’s always been about Him

Still can’t believe I found a friend in Him

He the only one who can redeem us from our sin

Yeah

Hope I get to (I wanna get to lay my life down)

Lay my life down

Darling for you(I wanna get to lay my life down)

I would bleed out

Hope I get to(I wanna get to lay my life down)

Lay my life down

Darling for you(I wanna get to lay my life down)

I would bleed out

God gave His life for us

Nothing I could do would ever be enough

Hope I get to (I wanna get to lay my life down)

Lay my life down

Darling for you(I wanna get to lay my life down)

I would bleed out

I would bleed out for you

Cause God bled for me

Yeah I would bleed out for you

I would give anything

Even when it hurts I will love through the pain

Because God never let me down even on the darkest days

On the darkest day, He chose to

Bleed

You gave it all for me

You gave Your everything

If we could love others with an ounce of the love that You’ve shown me

We could change everything

We could change everything

God You’re the prize that’s so sweet

The only thing worth chasing

But the nights come and my love neglects You

And it hurts cause I just wanna reflect You

At my worst yeah my worth is held to

The fact that I met You, don’t let me forget You

Story

This song is about the hyperpop/unerground genre, and how it captures the same attitude as the punk rock genre of the last generation. Our generation carries the same rebellious and excited attitude about the world as many generations before us have, and even though the world around us has changed, our hearts haven't changed much. One of the main changes we have in today's world is the internet, and although it has certianly changed the world, the desire to create has not stopped. One could even argue that it has grown exponentially.

Next I talk about making hits on the laptop. Most of the artists in this genre make music in a small, homemade, bedroom "recording studio." Most of the hits in this genre have come out of a bedroom.

"Making colorful songs like Fruity Loops" has a double meaning. Of course, I am referencing the multi-colored sugary cereal, but I am also referencing Fruity Loops Studio (or FL Studio), which is the program that most artists use in this genre to make music. I use this program as well, and as a pretty goood guitar player, a lot of people wonder why I "waste" time on the computer. They just don't get the vision!

Loud, blown out 808 basses are one of the staple sounds that makes this genre what it is. Slap on a soft clipper and let that thing ruin your mix!

We're all also very optimistic about the music we make, and we won't stop until it succeeds or kills us! This kind of music is also very experimental, so it is suprising that it has blown up in recent years! Following the same pattern as punk did in the 90's and 2000's, parents think it is annoying and teenagers adore it.

In the last verse, I use the pun "radio active, half life." This is in reference to the fact that our music is getting on the radio, but also talking about radioactive isotopes. What can I say, I like science! "The good guys are dressed like the bad guys" is a shoutout to the gothic clothing that has become popular in the genre, once again modeling punk rock. Ultimately, we're just expressing ourselves and making music because we love it!
